Fact about the rental car insurance

People use rental cars for different reasons and there are plenty of different ways that can affect the existing insurance policy of the car owner.  There are main two ways through which the policy is affected. The very first is in terms of cost of the policy, and the second one is through the cost of hiring the car in the event of claim and not even having it included in the insurance policy.
Another cost that is said to be additional cost when the person who already owns an insurance policy hires a car and then uses his own insurance for covering the compensations when he is driving that car instead of using the insurance that has been provided by the rental car company.  Would you be wasting money on getting something that you already have?

  1. Driving a car without insurance is a legal offense, and if it’s a rental, you’ll need insurance protection all the more. Two forms of coverage make sense for rental vehicles - Liability coverage for others on the road and collision coverage, since the car belongs to someone else. Many credit card companies offer insurance benefits for rental cars, if you pay for the rental by their card. It’s better to bear the costs of rental insurance than pay for a smashed, wrecked or a stolen rental car. You’ll need rental insurance all the more if you have dropped the collision or comprehensive coverage for your personal car.
